What does your job as a Junior Actuary Non-Life look like?  

You will

  • be directly involved in the development and management of non-life products based on the needs and demands of the market (customers, competition & distribution partner)
  • refine and elaborate rates and segmentation using the latest techniques
  • support the management team by calculating the impact of policy decisions
  • monitor the profitability, growth and composition of the portfolios
  • develop dashboards, reports, periodic audits at the request of stakeholders and interpret evolutions
  • optimize the reinsurance program taking into account the risks and the waist of the portfolio

This is how you fit perfectly into our team  

You have

  • a master or doctorate in actuarial, mathematics, physics, statistics, civil or commercial engineer
  • sense to bite into one of the core activities of an insurer: pricing
  • knowledge of GLM (General Linear Model) techniques & you like to discuss new developments in your field
  • good knowledge of Dutch or French with a good knowledge of the second national language and English

You are

  • communicative and likes to consult with the various stakeholders (product management, IT, finance, management, distribution partners, ...)
  • eager to learn about everything that has to do with pricing, data and insurance
  • analytical, autonomous and result-oriented
  • open to change and dares to question the status quo
  • business oriented

The following talents make you even stronger

  • experience (< 5 years) as an actuary
  • knowledge of R, Rstudio, SQL and / or PowerBI
  • experience and interest in the latest machine learning techniques
  • experience with dynamic pricing
