Cookie statement

To enable us to provide you with the best possible service, this website uses cookies. Below we explain how and why this happens.

What are cookies?

When you visit this website, we install cookies on your computer, tablet or telephone if your browser settings allow it. Cookies are small, simple text files that are used to recognise you on your next visit to the site. For example, cookies ensure that when you visit our website in the future you do not receive or have to enter the same information each time. Your settings and preferences are remembered, which makes any subsequent visit to the site easier. Using cookies, we are also able to tailor the information and offers on our website and – if you have given your permission – on third-party websites.

In this cookie statement, the term ‘cookies’ means more than just small text files and also includes all of the comparable technologies that we use to store or read data on your device, such as Javascript, tags, beacons, pixels or storage features, such as HTML5 LocalStorage.

What do we use cookies for?

Some cookies are required to ensure that the website works properly and in full. We always install these necessary cookies if your browser settings allow it. This also applies to Analytics cookies, AB test cookies and a number of Affiliate and Performance cookies. These cookies monitor the use of our website and help us to improve the site generally.

We also use what are known as ‘tracking’ cookies, which are designed to make the website easier to use and more personal. They are also used for advertising purposes. We only install tracking cookies if you have given us permission to do so. By clicking ‘On’to the relevant consent question, you give us your permission to install these cookies. We use them to obtain more information about our visitors and to create visitor profiles. Tracking cookies are also installed by third parties when you visit our website. NN works with external parties that use cookies that enable advertisements to be displayed that are tailored to your particular interests or to provide certain social media functionalities. You will find details of who installs cookies in addition to NN cookies and for what purpose in a summary featured elsewhere on this page. NN has no control over the way in which these third parties manage their cookies or over the use of the data collected. We recommend that you also read the privacy statement and cookie statement published by these third parties.

Refusing cookies

If you do not want to allow cookies, you can remove them manually via your Internet browser or have them deleted automatically when you finish a session online. You can also set your Internet browser in such a way that you receive a message when a cookie is being installed or to say that cookies cannot be installed. If you do that, then certain sections of the website may not work properly.

The following website tells you how to remove cookies from the most frequently used browsers: www.aboutcookies.org.

Social media

Our website features videos from YouTube. These videos use pieces of YouTube code. This code installs cookies that can be used by YouTube. We have no control over any further use of the information collected by YouTube in this way. Read their privacy statement regularly to find out what they do with your (personal) data through the use of these cookies.

The Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn buttons featured on our website do not contain any code from these companies. All the buttons do is provide a link to the sharing functionalities. When you log in to the channel in question, you can share our messages or pages directly. If you are not logged in, you can only share our messages after you have logged in.

Categories

When it comes to cookies, we make a distinction between the following categories.:

NECESSARY COOKIES
