What does your job look like as a Front-end Developer?

As a Front-end Developer at NN, you will join one of the agile squads within the IT Multichannel Domain, the technical heart of our digital ecosystem. This domain is responsible for the development and maintenance of the web applications that support our brokers, business partners and internal users.

You will contribute to key platforms of our Digital Broker Experience or Seamless Servicing squads, building intuitive, secure and high-performing web applications. In this role, you take the lead in front-end development practices and actively support colleagues and the Domain IT Lead in technical and architectural decisions.

You will also be part of the Digital Front-end Guild, where front-end developers from different teams share knowledge, align on best practices and continuously improve together.

Your daily work includes:

Designing, building and maintaining modern React web applications
Analysing, designing and implementing solutions in the Azure cloud environment
Working according to DevOps principles, with a strong focus on automation and CI/CD
Ensuring security, compliance, performance and maintainability
Researching new front-end and cloud technologies and translating them into practical solutions

What profile are we looking for our team ?

You recognize yourself in the following profile:

A Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience as a Front-end Developer
You feel comfortable in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with developers, analysts, testers and stakeholders. You take ownership of your work, communicate openly and contribute to a positive team spirit.
You are proactive, flexible and not afraid to take the lead when needed. Knowledge sharing comes naturally to you, and you see learning as a continuous process. You value an open culture where collaboration and trust are key.
Occasionally, flexibility is required (for example early or late interventions), but this remains limited and well-balanced.
Strong experience with React and JavaScript / TypeScript
Knowledge of Node.js, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, MUI and Storybook
Knowledge of state management tools such as Redux, React Context API, or Zustand
Familiar with Webpack, NPM, Jest and React Testing Library, Vite or Nx
Experience working in an Agile / DevOps environment
Knowledge of Azure components (Function App, Monitoring, Key Vault, etc.)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Nice to have: experience with other frameworks such as Angular or Vue, experience with incident management
Strong interest in sharing knowledge and keeping your skills up to date
Good command of English and good knowledge of Dutch or French
