Data is key in our landscape, and we use both SQL and no-SQL data sources to steer our company.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data & Data Quality Specialist with knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the data catalog, designing and developing new databases where needed, focus on data availability, data accuracy and data quality, and manage data models to support data intelligence needs.
What does your job as a Data Warehouse & Data Quality Specialist look like?
Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL and no-SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration, transformation, and orchestration.
Creating and managing data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
Developing insightful reports and dashboards using PowerBI to aid decision-making processes.
Conducting thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all databases and data systems, and where needed propose quality-enhancing measures.
Develop and maintain the data catalog, in alignment with other stakeholders within the IT and Business departments.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Communicating professionally with stakeholders at both operational and governance levels.
Reporting to the IT Data & Architecture Lead, and in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence Lead and the Actuary team.

You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
You have at least 3 years proven experience in data management, data integration, and business intelligence.
You have strong problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
You have excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
You are able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You are proficient in SQL databases and no-SQL databases.
You are experienced in using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data processing and integration, and skilled in data modelling techniques to create efficient and scalable data structures.
You are able to develop and deploy PowerBI reports and dashboards.
You have strong analytical skills with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
You have knowledge of best practices in data management, including data quality, integrity, and security.
You are able to work in a fast-paced environment, and are proactive, flexible, and can adapt to changing business and IT environments.
You have a certain affinity with insurance or are definitely open to learn more about it.
You speak and write English fluently; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
Experience with working with offshore teams and/or in a multi-cultural environment is a plus.
You are able to work under tight deadlines and don’t have a 9-to-5 mentality.
